In a small village lived a lazy farmer, who hated working in the fields and did not see the fun in it.
Every day he would lie under a big tree, his eyes brimming with beautiful scenery.
One day, while he was sitting relaxed under the shade of a tree, he saw a fox running and chasing a rabbit.
While he was watching, he heard a strong collision and saw the rabbit crashing into the trunk of the tree, and the rabbit got very dizzy, and the rabbit could not escape from the fox.
So the farmer immediately got up to the rabbit before his death.
So the fox ran away in anger, and the farmer went to his house, slaughtered and cooked the rabbit, and prepared a delicious dinner from him for the night, and the next morning he sold his fur in the market to earn from it.
So, the lazy farmer went back to the same tree and lay relaxed under it, waiting for another rabbit to crash into the tree.
Nevertheless, he thought, he still had a chance, perhaps tomorrow it would.
It continued like this for several days, and then weeks and months passed.
He neglected his field with his stupidity, and weeds had grown in his field, and his crops had spoiled.
And at the end, he starved, because he could not find anything to eat, and he could not catch any rabbits.
And with laziness, our end will be like the end of the lazy farmer starving of hunger.
The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, used to say: “Oh God, I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness.”
